It is always an honor to be blessed with the smiles of strangers and acquaintances. There is much positivity in the air. The few dramatic issues of certain patrons were solved with haste and all felt well. A boy, that is what he is; he fell outside to the street while spewing vomit all along his path. A trail of mistakes. He laid on the ground as one lay in their bed. His stomach contents coating his arm and face. I decided to call him Chunky and had fun deciphering what he had eaten. Chunky’s friends were clearly annoyed. They did not show the care of those who worry for their comrades. How long Chunky laid on the ground I do not know. Chunky got up for a moment but soon returned to the concrete, until eventually being whisked away into the night. He won’t remember his embarrassment, but Chunky’s “friends” will remind him with shame. We won’t be seeing Chunky for some time. The only truly negative energy was that of the most stereotypical Karen. An older blonde creature

of a woman. She tried her best to interject into the game of billiards with her “expert knowledge” of the rules. She not only embarrassed herself but her husband as well. He stood rubbing his eyes. An attempt to self-soothe his mistaken worse half's garbage behavior. It is fun most times to watch the ignorant attempt to explain subjects which they know nothing of. This time, even I was annoyed. If this is how that it acts in public, I don’t want to imagine what the creature does at home. God forbid, I may have nightmares. After being told off by those attempting to enjoy themselves, she sat in the corner pouting as a child does when their favorite toy is taken away. At least her husband could have a moment of reprieve and finish his game of pool. I was outside smoking when she stormed out into the night. Her voice was that of a banshee’s as her husband and his friend tried to bring her to reason. She would not have it. Of course only her feelings are what matter. The rest of the night was kind. The music was perfect. A bit of dancing here and there. No ambulances or police. Just the beauty of those celebrating the end of exams and relaxing before the holiday. I was lucky to have the company of beautiful women and the making of a new friend. Chico is beautiful. With all its colors and tastes I would not have it any other way. Chico is Chico; beautiful in its peace and beautiful in its repulsion. I think I will be here for a while.
